Andy Carroll leaves cheeky World Cup message on girlfriend's Instagram page

Andy Carroll made his opinion on getting left out of the England World Cup squad clear by leaving a cheeky message on his girlfriend's Instagram photo of the couple in Dubai.

The West Ham United striker and former The Only Way Is Essex star Billi Mucklow travelled to the Middle East after the Hammers' final game of the season against Manchester City on Sunday.

The next day, it was revealed by England manager Roy Hodgson that Carroll had failed to make the World Cup squad in Brazil but has been placed on the standby list.

While in Dubai, Mucklow posted an image of the couple together with the caption: "There's no place I'd rather be."

Carroll responded with the message: "I know a place I would rather be!!! #brazil."
