Chile's Mauricio Pinilla gets tattoo of failed last-minute strike against Brazil

Chile star Mauricio Pinilla gets a tattoo of his goal attempt that hit the bar against Brazil inked onto his lower back.

Chile striker Mauricio Pinilla has had a tattoo of his last-minute strike that hit the bar against Brazil inked onto his body.

The 30-year-old was inches away from sending his nation through to the quarter-finals of the World Cup, but his effort clattered the bar as Brazil eventually went on to win on penalties.

Despite getting knocked out of the tournament, it appears that Pinilla wants to remember his failed effort after he had a design of the goal and the ball striking the crossbar tattooed onto his lower back.

Pinilla had the words 'One centimetre from glory' inked on below the design.
