Wayne Rooney to appear on Monday Night Football

Everton striker Wayne Rooney is to appear as a pundit for Watford's clash with Chelsea on Monday night.

The Hornets face the Premier League champions at Vicarage Road looking to move level on points with the Toffees in the league table.

Antonio Conte's Blues were defeated 3-0 by Bournemouth in their last outing, and will want to bounce back with an important win.

Rooney, who is England's all-time leading goalscorer, will feature alongside regular guest Jamie Carragher on the Sky Sports panel.

The forward last appeared on Monday Night Football in an interview with Carragher following Everton's 3-1 defeat of Swansea City in December.
