Carlisle United players offer help to flood victims

Carlisle United players offer to help victims of flooding after Storm Desmond struck Cumbria at the weekend.

Carlisle United players have offered to help members of the community affected by the flooding caused when Storm Desmond struck the area at the weekend.

Many houses in Cumbria, which has been one of the worst-hit areas, are without power, while Brunton Park has been engulfed by water due to the club's ground being so close to two rivers.

In response to the damage in the area, Carlisle players are volunteering to help people in need on Tuesday if they make contact with the club.

The gesture was made by the squad after Carlisle had thrashed Welling United 5-0 in the second round of the FA Cup on Sunday.
