Former Blackburn Rovers defender Colin Hendry charged with drink driving

Former Scotland captain Colin Hendry has been charged with drink driving in Lancashire.

Hendry, 49, was arrested by police after being stopped last Saturday morning on Church Road in Lytham.

Hendry, whose most successful spell in league football came with Blackburn Rovers, was charged with drink driving and bailed to appear before Blackpool Magistrates' Court on March 4.

His most recent job in football was also at Blackburn, where he was a coach until last summer.
