A number of Arsenal supporters caused a storm last night by referring to the Holocaust when responding to Tottenham Hotspur fans who mocked Theo Walcott's latest injury.

The anti-Semitic slurs have attracted the attention of anti-discrimination group Kick It Out, who wrote on Twitter that they will be reporting the messages to the appropriate authorities.

The tweets surfaced after a number of Spurs fans made fun of their North London rivals when the Gunners confirmed that Walcott would be out of action for six months with knee ligament damage.

According to 101greatgoals.com, one particular tweet read: "Every Tottenham fan can be put back in the gas chambers and gassed to death! Small club, shit club always in Arsenal shadows."

Walcott sparked anger from a number of Spurs fans when he signalled 2-0 with his hands while being stretchered off the field during Arsenal's victory over Tottenham in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.
