Balotelli: "Little progress" made with racism

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has insisted that football has not done enough to eradicate racism from the game.

Since his January return to Italy from Manchester City, the 22-year-old has been the subject of racist abuse on a couple of occasions.

When asked for his opinion on the issue, Balotelli told reporters: "It annoys me. It makes me angry and I don't like it. However, we're are making too little progress on this issue."

Balotelli expressed his viewpoint just two days after his Milan teammate Kevin-Prince Boateng met with FIFA president Sepp Blatter to discuss ways in which racism can be removed from the sport.
