Great Britain's Sarah Adlington crashes out early on in Baku

Team GB judoka Sarah Adlington has suffered an early exit from the women's +78kg at the European Games in Baku.

The reigning Commonwealth Games champion suffered defeat by ippon to the Ukraine's Svitlana Iaromka at the Heydar Aliyev Arena.

Both competitors incurred three penalties, but Iaromka secured the victory with just under four minutes on the clock to advance through to the final eight.

Great Britain have fared better elsewhere this morning, meanwhile, having seen both Gemma Gibbons and Ben Fletcher keep their medal hopes alive.
