Team GB's Sally Conway remains upbeat on Rio 2016 chances

Sally Conway remains in a positive mood following her European Games exit at the hands of Hungary's Szabina Gercsak.

Great Britain judoka Sally Conway has reflected on her showing at the European Games with a positive mindset, vowing to give her all in an attempt to qualify for the 2016 Olympics.

The 28-year-old missed out on a -70kg repechage medal in Baku after tasting defeat against Hungary's Szabina Gercsak earlier today,

Conway, who re-entered the competition following an earlier loss to Szaundra Diedrich, is now battling for a spot at next year's Rio Games.

"There's still lots more competitions and chances to get more points towards qualifying for Rio," she told reporters. "I'm in a good position at the moment and do my best in any competition I get given."

Gersak will face Austria's Bernadette Graf at the Heydar Aliyev Arena on Friday afternoon in the bronze-medal A final.
