Toelzer and Silva win men's heavyweight judo bronze

Germany's Andreas Toelzer and Brazil's Rafael Silva have taken the bronze medals in the men's +100kg judo.

The 32-year-old Toelzer overcame Belarus's Ihar Makarau in the first bronze medal contest.

Rafael Silva, 25, won the second with a golden score victory over South Korea's Sung-Min Kim.

Unlike most Olympic sports, two bronze medals are awarded in the judo, where both losing semi-finalists face a bronze medal repechage match.
