USA's Ryan Suter: 'Canada deserved to win'

USA defenseman Ryan Suter admits that his side were "passive" and did not play well against Canada in the semi-finals in Sochi.

USA defenseman Ryan Suter has said that his side did not deserve to reach the final of the men's ice hockey at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The Americans suffered a 1-0 defeat to Canada in the semi-finals in Sochi on Friday.

"We didn't show up to play," AFP quotes the 29-year-old as saying.

"It's kind of frustrating. We were passive. You can't play scared. We sat on our heels and just didn't take it to them at all."

Canada will take on Sweden in the final on Sunday.
