USA's Patrick Kane 'disappointed' with Canada shutout

Patrick Kane admits that the USA should have scored against Canada in their semi-final clash in Sochi on Friday.

USA forward Patrick Kane has admitted his disappointment at failing to score against Canada in the semi-finals of the men's ice hockey at the Winter Olympics.

Jamie Benn's goal in the second period proved enough for Mike Babcock's side to get the better of their North American rivals 1-0 in Sochi on Friday.

"We didn't really create much offense," The AP quotes 25-year-old as saying. "It's a little disappointing.

"I think everyone expected a tight-checking game, but to say we would have gotten shut out, I don't think anyone would have thought that."

Canada will take on Sweden in the final on Sunday.
