Mark Garside put Great Britain ahead from the slot after 14:08, hitting the post twice in the first period through Robert Lachowicz and Ben O'Connor.

Lithuania equalised after 29:55 when Danielius Omanovas struck low past Ben Bowns.

Nerijus Isauskas then gave Lithuania the lead on a five-on-three powerplay before the end of the second period.

Russ Cowley equalised after 43:25 but Paulius Gintautas's late powerplay goal denied Great Britain the gold medal.
