Aaron Boogaard charged over brother's death

CHL player Aaron Boogaard has been charged by Minneapolis prosecutors in relation to the death of his brother, Derek.

Late New York Rangers enforcer Derek Boogaard was found dead in his Minneapolis apartment in May at the age of 28.

Aaron Boogaard, 24, faces charges of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, oxycodone.

He is also charged with the more serious allegation of interfering with the scene of a death.

Derek Boogaard played in the NHL for six years, with the Minnesota Wild and the New York Rangers.

He played 277 NHL games, with three goals, 16 points and 589 penalty minutes.
