Barkov forced to pull out of Olympics

Ice hockey youngster Aleksander Barkov has been ruled out for remainder of the Winter Olympics due to injury.

The 18-year-old player picked up an injury to his lower-body in Friday's 6-1 victory over Norway.

Finland, who came into the Sochi Games without injured forwards Mikko Koivu and Valtteri Filppula, are now in lack of another forward ahead of Sunday's match with Canada, with first place in the group up for grabs for the winners.

Barkov has eight goals in 54 games in the NHL this season with the Florida Panthers.
