Team GB's women maintain 100% start with India win

Great Britain's women continue their 100% start to the Olympic Games with a 3-0 victory over India in Group B.

Great Britain's women have moved closer to securing their place in the hockey quarter-finals of the Olympic Games with a 3-0 win over India.

After beating Australia in their opening game, they went into their clash with the lowest-ranked team in the group with plenty of confidence but they were unable to find the breakthrough during the first quarter.

However, Giselle Ansley opened the scoring for Team GB soon after the restart before Nicola White gave her side a 2-0 half-time advantage.

Alex Danson rounded off the scoring later in the game to leave Team GB on the brink of qualification for the last eight but they still have work to do to achieve a high finish in Group B.

Danny Kerry's team face world number two Argentina in their next fixture on Wednesday.
