Team GB 5-3 South Korea

Team GB have clinched a 5-3 victory over South Korea after relinquishing the lead and coming from a 3-3 draw in the second half.

Great Britain have secured a convincing 5-3 victory over South Korea following a thrilling contest at the Riverbank Arena.

Britain took the lead in the early stages through Nicola White with just under 30 minutes left to play in the opening half.

White's goal was helped in by the goalkeeper, who failed to prevent the swift shot from hitting the back of the net.

Britain played the ball well at the back and were able to retain possession. However, a defensive error allowed Korea to equalise and get back into the game.

A penalty corner given to the British side, who managed to take a 2-1 lead through Crista Cullen following some impressive play between Chloe Rogers and Georgie Twigg.

Britain extended their lead after the break through Alex Danson, who deflected the shot into the net from Cullen. However, Korea piled on the pressure throughout the second half and managed to change the scoreline to 3-2 following a rebounded shot by Han, which came off goalkeeper Beth Storry.

Park managed to add more pressure to the British side by equalising on 3-3 but the Brits responded in dramatic fashion by scoring two goals in quick succession to win the match 5-3.
