Williams's Felipe Massa quickest in rain-affected P2 at Russian Grand Prix

Williams driver Felipe Massa tops the timesheet in a rain-affected second practice session at the Russian Grand Prix.

Williams driver Felipe Massa has recorded the fastest time in what was a quiet second practice session ahead of the Russian Grand Prix.

Not many drivers were quick to take part in the session due to the wet conditions on the track as rain fell intermittently in Sochi.

Part of the track was still slippery following an earlier diesel spillage, which occurred prior to the first practice of the day.

With 15 minutes left in the session just 11 of the 20 cars had been out on the circuit, but McLaren's Jenson Button and Massa decided to have a late run, with the latter clocking a time of 2:00.458.

After a frustrating session where just eight drivers completed timed laps, tomorrow's practice is expected to be hectic in the paddocks as they test the tyres on a drier day.
