Logan Sargeant has resurfaced in the motorsport world just months after seemingly quitting altogether, signing with Oliver Gavin Motorsport Management (OGMM) to pursue a career in sportscar racing.
The 24-year-old American was dropped by Williams midway through 2024 in favour of Franco Colapinto, and subsequently withdrew from a 2025 European Le Mans Series LMP2 drive with IDEC–Genesis Magma Racing.
At the time, the French team said: “Following the decision of Logan Sargeant to step away from the sport to pursue other interests, (IDEC) and Genesis Magma Racing are taking note of his decision and will announce his substitute in the next few days.”
Now, OGMM has confirmed his return to the driver market. “We are delighted to welcome Logan Sargeant to the OGMM team,” the statement read.
“With a strong history of racing in single seaters and at still only 24, Logan is joining OGMM as he focuses on a future career in sportscars.”
Oliver Gavin, 52, is a former Corvette Racing factory star with almost two decades in top-level GT competition, but is remembered by many F1 fans as a past full-time FIA safety car driver.
