The FIA have announced that Pirelli will continue as tyre supplier for the Formula 1 campaign.
The World Motorsport Council confirmed the news today following reports that Pirelli were going to keep their place within the sport despite controversies during the season.
The suppliers came under criticism earlier in the campaign after drivers suffered a number of blowouts during races. However, the company has agreed contracts with all 11 teams in the calendar.
A statement on the FIA website said: "The WMSC today confirmed that Pirelli may continue to supply tyres to competitors in the FIA F1 World Championship, subject to the requisite technical and safety standards of the FIA being met."
Pirelli's current contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
