Romain Grosjean positive about Spain race prospects

Lotus driver Romain Grosjean believes that he has the pace to finish well at the Spanish Grand Prix

Romain Grosjean has said that Lotus could be in for their best finish of the season, after good runs in practice and qualifying at the Spanish Grand Prix.

The Frenchman will start from fifth on the grid in Barcelona and, although teammate Pastor Maldonado crashed out in the first session and starts from the back, Grosjean is optimistic about his team's prospects.

He told reporters: "Yesterday I was something like P8 which was nice but I knew we had something more. I think we benefited because Seb (Sebastian Vettel) couldn't get a lap in Q3 but in general but it would still be sixth so I'm happy."

I think there is still more to come from fuel, from engine mapping performance and an easier way to change the switches and that will come. Everyone is working to try and get a little bit more."

Both Grosjean and Maldonado are yet to score points for Lotus this season.
