Kimi Raikkonen: 'I left Lotus for Ferrari due to money'

Kimi Raikkonen reveals that he is leaving Lotus for Ferrari next season solely because of monetary reasons.

Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen has revealed that the only reason why he will be competing for Ferrari next season is due to money.

The 33-year-old will replace Felipe Massa to line up alongside Fernando Alonso in next year's campaign, but the Finnish driver has said that he is only leaving Lotus because of a salary dispute.

"The reason why I left the team is purely from the money side," Raikkonen said in a press conference.

"The thing is, I haven't got my salary. It's an unfortunate thing but I want to try to help the team as much as I can."

Ferrari last won the title when Raikkonen was their driver in 2007.
