Tottenham Hotspur want to sign a new striker and right-wing back in the January transfer window, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly aiming to bolster their squad with a new right-wing back and striker in January.

The Lilywhites welcomed no fewer than seven new faces to the club over the summer, bringing in Richarlison, Ivan Perisic, Djed Spence, Yves Bissouma and Fraser Forster on permanent deals.

Clement Lenglet also joined on loan from Barcelona, while Destiny Udogie was signed from Udinese but will remain with the Serie A side on loan until the end of the season.

Despite making a strong start to the season, Antonio Conte's side have now won just two of their last seven in all competitions, with injuries starting to take their toll.

Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison, Lucas Moura, Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min are among those to have spent time on the sidelines, and Conte has admitted that Spurs still need more transfer windows to be able to compete for silverware.

Conte is expected to be backed with funds in the winter market, and 90min claims that a new striker and right-wing back will be Spurs' priorities in January.

Harry Kane has continued to hold the fort up front for Tottenham this term, starting in all of the club's 21 games across all tournaments and scoring 12 goals in the process.

However, Conte recently admitted that fatigue is starting to set in for the England captain, who was taken off before the hour mark in Wednesday's EFL Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Richarlison, meanwhile, is still waiting for his first Premier League goal for Tottenham since joining in a £60m deal from Everton, and a list of targets have supposedly been drawn up.

The report adds that Barcelona's Memphis Depay, Blackburn Rovers' Ben Brereton Diaz and Bayern Munich's Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting are being targeted, but the latter is determined to agree a new deal with the German champions.

In terms of the right-wing back spot, Emerson Royal has been Conte's first choice in that area throughout the season, despite widespread criticism of the Brazilian's performances.

Matt Doherty is second in the pecking order ahead of Spence, who has continued to struggle for opportunities after his summer signing from Middlesbrough, making just four appearances in all competitions.

The 22-year-old is yet to start a game for the Lilywhites, playing a mere three minutes of Premier League football in three outings and featuring for the final 25 minutes of Wednesday's EFL Cup loss against former club Forest.

Southampton's Kyle Walker-Peters, Norwich City's Max Aarons and Wolverhampton Wanderers' Adama Traore are reportedly under consideration for the right-wing back spot, as is Roma's Nicolo Zaniolo, but the Italian's injury record could scupper a deal.

Tottenham have slipped to fourth in the Premier League table ahead of Saturday's clash with Leeds United, which will be their final fixture before the World Cup.
