Wilson Palacios to have Stoke City medical

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Wilson Palacios is to undergo a medical at Stoke City ahead of a proposed £6m move.

"Wilson Palacios is having a medical at Stoke," confirmed Spurs manager Harry Redknapp after his side's 5-1 defeat against Manchester City on Sunday.

Tony Pulis had earlier said that he was looking to bring in up to five new faces before the transfer window closes on Wednesday night.

Palacios moved to White Hart Lane from Wigan in 2009 for £12m and has gone on to make 65 appearances for the club.
