Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has insisted that he never thought about quitting management during his recent heart scare.
The 64-year-old returned to the dugout after a two-game absence for his side's 2-0 victory over Aston Villa on Monday evening.
Since his return, Redknapp has said that he feels better than ever and is looking forward to a successful season at White Hart Lane.
"It never entered my mind," he said when asked if he had thought about retiring.
"It drove me mad, sitting at home. I had a bad couple of weeks but now I feel better than before.
"I have been chasing [my wife] Sandra around the kitchen a lot. She asked them if they could reverse this process!"
Redknapp is hoping for a repeat of 2010's top-four finish and his side currently lie third in the Premier League and have a game in hand on all teams around them.
Spurs travel to West Bromwich Albion later this afternoon in only their third Saturday league game of the season.
