Gareth Bale withdraws from Team GB squad?

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale has reportedly withdrawn from the Team GB squad for this summer's Olympics through injury.

The 22-year-old is believed to have aggravated an old hip problem while trying to keep fit for the London Games.

The Welsh international has now informed manager Stuart Pearce that will not be taking part in the tournament, according to The Telegraph.

Bale committed his future to Spurs earlier this week by signing a new four-year deal at White Hart Lane.
