Team News: Emmanuel Adebayor starts against former club

Crystal Palace striker Emmanuel Adebayor has been handed a start against his former club Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane this afternoon.

The Togolese frontman, who joined the Eagles on a free transfer last month, will partner Connor Wickham in attack.

Elsewhere, Yannick Bolasie has returned to the squad following an injury layoff, but the playmaker has only been named among the substitutes.

As for hosting Spurs, Harry Kane has been reinstated and will captain the side in the absence of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

Toby Alderweireld and Christian Eriksen have both dropped down to the bench, which in turn has handed opportunities to Kevin Wimmer and youngster Joshua Onomah respectively.
