Agent: 'Fulham want Alexander Buttner'

The agent of Vitesse defender Alexander Buttner has revealed that Fulham have shown an interest in his client.

The 23-year-old has been strongly linked with move to Southampton this summer, however, it is understood that talks between the two clubs have broken down.

"At the end, we didn't come to a deal with Southampton and Vitesse. We look ahead and happily there is a lot of interest. Hannover and Fulham are very serious," Alexander Busac told reporters.

"Two French clubs have confirmed by mail they are looking to sign Buttner, but haven't made a bid. Within the next days they will contact Vitesse."

Buttner has scored 10 goals for Vitesse since making his debut in 2008.
