Scottish League Two roundup: Queen's Park gain ground on Arbroath

Scottish League Two leaders Arbroath have lost ground at the top of the table after losing 2-1 at home to Queen's Park.

Shaun Fraser opened the scoring for the visitors in the second minute and Kevin Fotheringham made the points safe late on to render Paul McManus's 82nd-minute strike little more than consolation.

The result cuts Arbroath's lead over their second-placed opponents to five points, with Albion Rovers one point behind Queen's Park in third following their goalless draw at East Fife.

Clyde are up to fourth following their 3-0 win away to Montrose, in which Scott Ferguson, Euan Murray and Aidan Mcilduff were on target.

Berwick Rangers are knocking on the door of the playoff places in fifth after a 2-0 win away to East Stirlingshire, a Darren Lavery brace doing the damage in that game.

Elgin City's clash with Annan Athletic was postponed due to the former's FA Cup commitments.

Results in full: Arbroath 1-2 Queen's Park, East Fife 0-0 Albion Rovers, East Stirling 0-2 Berwick, Elgin City P-P Annan, Montrose 0-3 Clyde
