Sebastian Giovinco scored a late penalty to rescue a point from Parma's home fixture against Fiorentina this evening.
Just moments after spurning a good chance in the 25th minute, Stefano Okaka opened the scoring for the home side when he slotted the ball beyond the reach of Artur Boruc from 12 yards out.
Visiting Fiorentina exerted more pressure after the restart and drew themselves level with 60 minutes played. Juan Vargas lofted over a free kick, which Matija Nastasic was able to convert with his head.
Fiorentina's second of the night arrived 11 minutes later when Alessio Cerci turned in a cross by Manuel Pasqual from eight yards out.
That goal appeared to be the winner until Giovinco was upended inside the area by Mattia Cassani. Giovinco dispatched the resultant penalty to ensure that the spoils were shared.
