Steve Cotterill ready to offer Garath McCleary new contract

Cotterill wants new deal for McCleary

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cotterill has reportedly requested permission to offer Garath McCleary a new contract.

The winger has been in good form recently and is rumoured to be a target for Norwich City.

However, Cotterill is hoping to keep the 24-year-old and is waiting for the outcome of negotiation regarding former owner Nigel Doughty's will, according to The Mirror.

Forest are believed to be willing to offer McCleary a deal worth £8k a week.
