Emmanuel Adebayor's return to international football with Togo is now "definite" after a series of meetings with officials in Ghana.
The Tottenham striker will return after the federation agreed to better treatment of players, including paying for flights to and from games.
"I am going to show my face in Togolese football. I am back home and I have to act as professionally as possible," said Adebayor.
"Look at the big crowds that have come to welcome me. I cannot let them down."
The 27-year-old retired from international football in 2010, shortly after a gun attack on the Togo team coach which resulted in the death of three people.
