Nancy have registered a narrow 1-0 victory over relegation rivals Troyes at home in Ligue 1.
The opening minutes of the match saw little action, with Paul Alo'o's effort from a Benjamin Moukandjo headed pass on 15 minutes the only notable event.
Nancy grew in confidence as the match progressed, with Moukandjo and Lossemy Karaboue seeing their shots in the first half saved by Troyes goalkeeper Yohann Thuram-Ulien.
The hosts continued to dominate proceedings at the start of the second period, Djamel Bakar missing his shot from close range and then Moukandjo coming close with a header.
Jean-Christophe Bahebeck took an attempt for Troyes from outside the Nancy box just after the hour mark, but it failed to evade goalkeeper Damien Gregorini.
Nancy eventually broke the deadlock in the 67th minute when Romain Grange found the target with a direct free kick.
That spurred Troyes into taking the game to their hosts with Marcos and Eloge Enza Yamissi having good chances, but Nancy proved strong enough to see out the victory.
The result sees Nancy climb up to third from bottom in the league table with 30 points from 31 matches, while Troyes remain at the foot of the standings.
