Aleksandar Kolarov: Only two teams in Premier League title race

Aleksandar Kolarov thinks that Manchester City and Manchester United are the only teams pushing for the Premier League title.

Manchester City full-back Aleksandar Kolarov believes that Manchester United are his side's only competitors for the Premier League title.

There are just two points separating the arch rivals in the league table, with City edging the lead at the top.

Despite Tottenham Hotspur being touted as possible title challengers, Kolarov believes that their seven-point gap is too much for them to win the trophy.

"We are in a two-way battle with United at the top of the Premiership and I think it will be like that until the very end," Kolarov told Serbian website B92.

"Of course, that raises the tension so every game in every round our two clubs' play will be on a high note. We are playing well, have a two-point advantage and [United] are coming to our ground three rounds before the end.

"Maybe that game will be the decisive one, but I think we are the better team and must show that on the pitch."

Both sides have switched their focus to the Europa League as they prepare to undertake their first matches in this season's campaign after dropping out of the Champions League.
