Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Manchester United

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of the FA Cup final with Manchester United.

Manchester City's quest for a famous treble this season will continue on Saturday afternoon when they take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

The Citizens have already won the Premier League this term and are now searching for success in the FA Cup and Champions League, with the final of the latter set to take place on June 10 against Inter Milan.

Pep Guardiola's side will enter this match off the back of a defeat, though, having lost 1-0 to Brentford on the final weekend of the 2022-23 Premier League campaign.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Man United, who won the EFL Cup at the end of February.

Jack Grealish

Possible return date: June 3 (vs. Man United)

Jack Grealish was one of four Man City players missing against Brentford, with the England international absent due to an unspecified issue, but he is expected to be fit for the final.

Ruben Dias

Possible return date: June 3 (vs. Man United)

Ruben Dias was also absent against Brentford, having recently been unable to train due to an injury problem, and it remains to be seen whether the centre-back is fit for the final.

Manuel Akanji

Like Grealish and Dias, Manuel Akanji was also absent for the team's last league game of the campaign, and the defender faces a race against the clock to be available for this match.

Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne did not feature against Brentford due to being "mentally completely drained", according to Guardiola, but the Belgian should be back for this match.
