Report: Frank Lampard wanted by Manchester City

Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

The 35-year-old is out-of-contract with the Blues and has admitted that he could leave the club this summer.

It emerged this weekend that Lampard has reportedly agreed to join new MLS franchise New York City, but their season doesn't begin until March 2015.

According to The Mirror, Lampard has claimed that he will not play for another Premier League club, but City are keen on offering him a sixth-month deal before he moves to America.

Atletico Madrid forward David Villa recently revealed that he has agreed to join New York, who were purchased by Manchester City and the New York Yankees in 2013.
