Manchester City deny Nir Biton signing

Manchester City have denied speculation that they have agreed a deal to sign Israeli midfielder Nir Biton, according to Sky Sports News.

The 20-year-old's agent had claimed earlier today that City manager Roberto Mancini was putting the finishing touches on a loan move.

However, it is understood that City would like to take the player on trial, which if successful would see him join the club's development squad.

City also believe that it would be difficult to obtain a work permit for the FC Ashdod player.
