Manchester City back in for Japan international Ritsu Doan?

Manchester City have reportedly decided to make another attempt to sign Groningen midfielder Ritsu Doan.

The Premier League champions were linked with an approach for the Japan international earlier in 2018, only for the Dutch outfit to shun the interest from Pep Guardiola.

However, according to journalist Francisco Acedo, City are ready to renew their interest in the 20-year-old during the January transfer window.

The report claims that Groningen remain against parting ways with Doan until next summer at the earliest, but it is unlikely to prevent City from making an offer.

Doan has contributed one goal and one assist from nine outings in the Eredivisie during the current campaign.

Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also said to be keen on the playmaker.
