Manchester City target Jorginho left out of Napoli training camp

Jorginho's proposed move to Manchester City appears to be edging closer following reports that the midfielder has been omitted from Napoli's pre-season training camp.

According to Sky Sports News, the Italy international does not appear to be training with his teammates in Northern Italy while talks between the two clubs are ongoing.

The report also suggests that Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz - a potential replacement for Jorginho - has arrived at Napoli for a medical.

Jorginho's agent Joao Santos previously confirmed that City are on the verge of signing his client.

The 26-year-old has featured more than 130 times for Napoli since joining from Hellas Verona in 2014.
