AC Milan vice-president Adriano Gallaini has admitted his regret in not completing the signing of Carlos Tevez from Manchester City in January.
The Argentina international made his first-team comeback for the North West side last night and played a major part in Samir Nasri's winning goal in City's 2-1 victory over Chelsea.
Italian giants Milan were the favourites to land the controversial striker during the winter transfer window, but a proposed deal fell through due to reports claiming that the Serie A side were only interested in a loan agreement.
"I was in love with Tevez and yesterday I saw him returning to the field with Manchester City and I loved it so much," said Gallaini. "When he entered the game changed.
"He drives me crazy, but some trains have to be taken in the exact moment which they pass, while fate decided otherwise. However we are delighted with what Maxi Lopez is doing with our shirt."
Tevez is still expected to leave the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.
