Pablo Zabaleta: 'Every game is a cup final in title race'

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta says that they must treat every Premier League game as a 'cup final' as the battle for the Premier League title heats up.

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has said that his side have to treat each remaining Premier League game as a cup final if they are to challenge for the title.

After they were held to a 1-1 draw by Everton on Saturday, City sit second in the Premier League table, two points behind leaders Chelsea, who beat Newcastle United 2-0.

Zabaleta told reporters: "We know the race for the title is going to be very hard and very tough. Chelsea are in great form as well but every single game in the Premier League is like a final- especially when you play away from home.

"You don't have easy games and teams can drop points like we did today so now we need to stay positive."

City continue the defence of their championship when they welcome Arsenal to Eastlands next weekend.
