Manchester City's Sergio Aguero: 'We need to improve against our title rivals'

Manchester City star Sergio Aguero says that the team need to improve their performance when they face their Premier League title contenders.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has claimed that he and his teammates need to perform better when they take on their Premier League title rivals.

The North-West outfit have been beaten home and away by league leaders Leicester City and second-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

As well as the league, City remain in contention for the Capital One Cup, the FA Cup and the Champions League trophy.

"If we want to win the league, we have to win against our biggest contenders," The Mirror quotes Aguero as saying.

"We have set ourselves high goals, but we know it's not easy to win every competition. We'll be doing everything we can to try and make it happen, but we're conscious that as we advance in each tournament, the harder it gets.

"I hope we can keep up the fight, but I'm well aware that other major teams will compete fiercely for the trophies too, so we will need to be at our very best from now until the end of the season if we are to achieve our aims."

City are currently fourth in the league table, six points adrift of the top spot.
