De Bruyne ruled out until December?

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has reportedly been ruled out for at least a month after sustaining a knee injury in Thursday's EFL Cup tie with Fulham.

De Bruyne was forced to miss the majority of the opening two months of the campaign with a knee problem, but the playmaker had successfully come through three outings before taking his place against the Cottagers.

However, the Belgium international was forced off injured during the second half after a coming-together with Timothy Fosu-Mensah, leading to immediate concern for Pep Guardiola.

According to The Telegraph, tests have since revealed that De Bruyne will likely miss the rest of November, ruling the 27-year-old out of next week's Manchester derby.

The report also suggests that De Bruyne may be absent until the middle of December, potentially leaving the player sidelined for the remainder of the Champions League group stages.
