Yaya Toure believes that Manchester City have enough experience to win the Champions League this season.

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has insisted that his side can "go very far" in the Champions League this season.

The Citizens failed to get beyond the group stages of the competition in their first outing last season.

However, the City squad now contains three players that have won the tournament with their previous clubs and Toure feels that those experiences will give the club an advantage this time around.

"I have that experience [of wining the Champions League] and it is good to have big players like Maicon and Mario Balotelli (winners with Inter Milan in 2010)," he told reporters.

"It is not easy to win the Champions League, but we have a very good team and with a team like this we can go very far in the competition."

City take on German champions Borussia Dortmund tomorrow evening in what will be their second match of this year's campaign.
