Manchester City's David Platt 'given one-match touchline ban by UEFA'

Platt 'hit with Euro ban'

Manchester City assistant manager David Platt has reportedly been issued with a one-match touchline ban by UEFA.

The 46-year-old was sent to the stands during City's 1-1 draw with Real Madrid, which dumped the North West side out of the Champions League.

It is understood that Platt will be unable to aid manager Roberto Mancini in the dugout in City's final Group D match against Borussia Dortmund, according to the Daily Star.

Reports have claimed that Platt is unlikely to turn up to the hearing in Switzerland next week, which could result in a longer ban.
