Crowd ban lifted on Dynamo Kiev, Manchester City Champions League game

Crowd ban lifted on Kiev, Man City CL game

UEFA has lifted a ban on supporters being present at the game between Dynamo Kiev and Man City in the Champions League.

The governing body had previously hit the Ukrainian side with a three-match stadium ban as a punishment for racist incidents involving its supporters, meaning that the first leg of the last-16 tie with Manuel Pellegrini's City was due to be played behind closed doors.

Now UEFA has revised the term of the ban to just one game, allowing City fans to travel to Eastern Europe for the crunch tie on February 24.

An accompanying fine of €100,000 (£76,000) was also halved following Kiev's appeal.
