Young goalkeeper Danny Ward signs new Liverpool deal

Danny Ward has agreed a "new long-term contract" with Liverpool.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper is yet to make his senior debut for the Merseysiders following his arrival from Wrexham in 2012.

However, his performances for the club's Under-21 side has convinced manager Brendan Rodgers to offer the Wales Under-21 international an extension to his terms at Anfield.

Last season, Ward made five appearances during a loan stint with League Two side Morecambe.
