Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ahead of Premier League rivals Liverpool in the race to sign Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini.
The 24-year-old is out of contract at the Stadio Olimpico next year, meaning that the Giallorossi may be forced to cash in this summer if fresh terms are not agreed.
Spurs, who are soon to announce the appointment of ex-Roma boss Paulo Fonseca, are believed to be battling with Liverpool and La Liga giants Barcelona for Pellegrini's signature.
According to Calciomercato, the Lilywhites are showing the most interest in the Italy international and are ready to pay his €30m (£25.72m) release clause, rather than negotiate a deal with Roma.
Pellegrini enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for the Italian side, scoring 11 times and registering nine assists in 47 appearances in all competitions.
