Liverpool will reportedly not be signing a new goalkeeper before the EFL transfer deadline on October 16.
The club's number one stopper Alisson Becker is set to be on the sidelines for the next five weeks with a shoulder injury, and Adrian shipped seven goals in last weekend's shock 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa.
A recent report claimed that the Premier League champions are eyeing a move for Stoke City's Jack Butland, with the Englishman potentially making his debut against Everton in the upcoming Merseyside derby.
However, according to The Mirror, Liverpool will not be signing a new stopper before the transfer deadline on Friday as head coach Jurgen Klopp is happy with his options in that area of the field.
Klopp allegedly feels that Adrian cannot be blamed for the team's heavy defeat against Villa and will therefore stick with the Spaniard between the sticks against Carlo Ancelotti's side next time out.
Butland, though, could still be on his way out of Stoke over the next few days, having lost his position as the club's number one at the start of the 2020-21 campaign.
