Ajax tell Liverpool to pay £17m for Christian Eriksen?

Ajax have reportedly put a £17m price tag on Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen.

The Dutch side recently confirmed that Liverpool have been showing an interest in the 21-year-old, and according to InsideFutbol.com, coach Frank de Boer has said that the player can leave at the right price.

"I read that my asking price was €20m (£17m)," Eriksen told Het Parool.

"That is a lot, yes, but I will leave that for the clubs [to decide]."

Ajax's sporting director Marc Overmars stated that scouts from the Reds had visited the Amsterdam ArenA to watch the Dane in action on a number of occasions throughout the campaign.

Eriksen has notched up eight goals and 13 assists for De Boer's side this season and the club currently top Eredivisie by three points.
